Every year in the period of June Cheryl participates in North Coast Open Studio.
During Open Studio many artists emerge from their shells: they have a show in their own home where people can go and see their work environment and how the art is made, from watercolors to weavings.
Chery's house, in fact, is a living watercolor gallery: she and her partner decided to paint it in a way that seems to belong inside one of Chery's paintings, even in the garden where there are always colorful flowers.
Unfortunately this year Cheryl was unable to participate in this amazing event because she had a stroke in May, which she survived like a rehab rock star. Now she is recovering, and even though her show wasn't ready, people came to her house to see her working. At the beginning they were disappointed to see that the artist wasn't ready, then relieved when they understood why, and in the end they couldn't wait for the next show in which Cheryl will participate.
